Melbourne Cup Fashion Show @ Matilda Bay Restaurant

As one of Australia’s most celebrated annual traditions, Melbourne Cup is a day our entire nation gets caught up in a frenzy of horse racing, fashion and general festivities.

Matilda Bay Restaurant was no exception, transforming into a hub of excitement with bold coloured dresses on display and even bolder flavours on the plate.

Times Square Claremont delighted guests with a stunning fashion parade, whilst Matilda Bay Head Chef Angelo Nici treated their taste buds to a delicious 3 course menu, featuring crispy pork belly, succulent Black Angus beef fillets and a delightful deconstructed lime cheese cake.

Champagne in hand, guests could sit back and enjoy the spanning views of the Swan Review, interrupted only by the designing talent on display from Times Square’s retailers Betty Tran, Jomay Cao, Breathless, Tarvydas, Leona Edminston and Lost Souls.

With assistance from Jomay Cao, the team at SKATT did a great job with the hair and make-up for the event; the stunning girls from Alpha Models did an amazing job working the catwalk and entertaining all.

There to capture all the best bits was fantastic local photographer Pia Morris from Mad Love Nation (see shots below).

Times Square Claremont would like to extend a big thanks to Roisin & Sarah from Alpha Models for coordinating the day, along with our great event partners Matilda Bay and Western Suburbs Weekly for making the whole event possible.

Thanks goes out also to Skindeep Medi-Spas, Marina Ambrosia Natural Skin food and Genesis Fitness Club Claremont for their kind donations to the event - all guests went home happy with a goodie bag filled with great offers & items.

Tarvydas VIP Shopping Night

School ball season is almost upon us and Tarvydas had its first open night for high school girls looking for that perfect ball gown for next year!

As usual Ruth Tarvydas has outdone herself with all new pieces that can ooze glamour, can be a little risqué or big and bright dresses to suit any personality.

Times Square Claremont SS13/14 Fashion Launch

It was the night we had all been waiting for; tickets were sold out, designers were putting the final touches to gowns and the goodie bags were packed and placed on the seats.  The bags contained (amongst other things) the four main essentials, something 'sweet to eat' (biscuits from our soon to open new retailer Cookie Dough Biscuits), something 'beauty related' (Skatt hairbrush and voucher and Marina's Ambrosia 24k eye masks), something 'fashion to wear' (Breathless singlet) and something 'fashion related to read' (latest issue of Sheila Magazine, containing the 8 page photo editorial from Times Square Claremont retailers).  Done, done, done and done!!

Set between Lemongrass Thai and L'Amour Kids & Giftware in Times Square Claremont, the runway was adorned with stunning arrangements by Hannah Etherington Flowers in an intimate gathering to unveil the best of Spring/Summer fashion for 2013/14.

Inside Lemongrass Thai Restaurant, the lovely people from Perth Lolly Buffets put on an adorable Spring themed selection of sweets with something for every sweet tooth. While Cocktail Gastronomy supplied a specially crafted cocktail for the occasion - the Times Square 'White Lady', a mixture of gin, Elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon and an edible pansy.  Not to forget the scrumptious food provided by the venue themselves, with Lemongrass Thai's yummy crab cakes, spring rolls and much more served to guests as they mingled.

The runway was a vision in 'pure white' ready for the burst of colour that was to come!!  

A big thanks to the wonderful guys at WED on Beaufort for transforming our humble laneway into a fashion ready runway.  Music was pumping from Empyrean Events and the vibe was set for a great night.

First to appear on the runway was the ready-to-wear show, with a bang of sequins and sparkle as Ruth Tarvydas unleashed her new collection of edgy and feminine Spring wear, like nothing we have seen before!
